Rededication ceremony for Serjeant Alexander Jones at CWGC Dourlers Communal Cemetery Extension, France.

A rededication ceremony for Serjeant Alexander Jones will take place at 10.30 am (local time) on 13th September 2022 at CWGC Dourlers Communal Cemetery Extension, France. 

Serjeant Jones died on 7th November 1918 serving with 21st Battalion, Manchester Regiment. He was previously commemorated on CWGC Vis-En-Artois Memorial. 

CWGC has marked his recently identified grave with a Commission headstone bearing his name and will care for it in perpetuity. The service has been organised by the British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
